Hospice DME Vendor Problems That Keep Showing Up

  • Pickup requirements - how many hours after notification the vendor must complete a pickup, and what documentation is required
  • Substitution protocols - the vendor must notify the hospice before substituting any equipment and receive approval
  • Billing accuracy requirements - how disputes are resolved, what the timeline is for credits, and what documentation supports a charge
